RESEARCH INTEREST

Ph.D. in Conservation and Restoration of Historic Artifacts Cultural Heritage (Conservation Science) from the Art University of Isfahan, Iran. My research focused on preventive conservation methods for preserving the integrity of artifacts in museums. This research aimed to develop audience perception and comprehension of cultural heritage. Additionally, I hold an MRS in Conservation Studies from the University of York, where I specialized in the technical evaluation and classification of polychrome and monochrome historic stucco from the Islamic epoch in Iran.

During my tenure as a grade one contractor for the Ministry of Cultural Heritage in Iran since June 2003, I have had the privilege of serving as an art director and conservator on several prestigious projects. Notable among them are the documentation and mapping of the eastern stairs of Persepolis (2500 AD), the restoration and renovation of Kashan historic bridge (1500 AD), and the preservation work on the decorative walls of Chehel-Sotoun palace (15th Century). These experiences have honed my skills in conservation, documentation, and project management.

It is noteworthy that my proficiency in using advanced analytical techniques such as XRD, SEM, FTIR, combined with my passion for scientific research in the field of cultural heritage, make me a valuable asset for your project. I am dedicated to furthering our understanding of heritage materials and their preservation. However, as a faculty member at the University of Isfahan since 2013, I have been actively involved in teaching and have published two books, showcasing my commitment to education and research. This is while, I believe that by joining the postdoctoral research fellow program, I can broaden my horizons and contribute to groundbreaking research that will advance our understanding of heritage science.
Not to be mentioned that my diverse research interests, including the study of various historical artifacts, from Lorestan bronzes to Qajar movable paintings, have given me a well-rounded perspective in researching more and more on the preservation of cultural heritage. I am deeply committed to the scientific exploration of these topics and their contribution to the preservation of world heritage.

My extensive academic background and practical experience in the conservation and reconstruction of monuments and cultural heritage, along with my ongoing research program at York University in the “Conservation Studies” have equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute significantly to your research initiatives.
Actually, I obtained my Ph.D. in the conservation and reconstruction of cultural heritage from the University of Isfahan, Iran, in 2015. My dissertation, titled “The explanation of the concept of integrity in the field of museum artifacts and cultural heritage,” reflects my deep commitment to preserving and understanding cultural heritage. Furthermore, my current participation in a research program in conservation studies at York University demonstrates my continuous dedication to advancing my expertise in this field.
